Simera Acquires Talent Sam to Accelerate AI-Powered Global Hiring
Every company reaches moments that define the next version of its story.
For Simera, this is one of those moments.
We are proud to announce that Simera has acquired Talent Sam, bringing together two companies with a shared belief: global hiring should be seamless, scalable, technology-driven, and built around access to exceptional talent wherever that talent lives.
This is more than an acquisition.
It is the joining of two teams with the ambition, experience, and technology to build the next generation of global workforce infrastructure.
The opportunity ahead
Global hiring has changed dramatically.
Companies no longer ask whether they should hire internationally. They ask how to do it faster, more reliably, and with less friction.
But the process is still too fragmented.
Sourcing happens in one place.
Screening happens in another.
Onboarding, payroll, compliance, HR, equipment, and support often happen across different systems, vendors, and teams.
The result is complexity.
Simera was built to solve that problem.
Simera is building an AI-driven platform designed to simplify every stage of global hiring and workforce management. The company enables businesses to source, evaluate, onboard, pay, and support international talent through a single unified platform.
For companies hiring remote professionals, this matters. The future of global hiring is not just about finding more candidates. It is about finding the right candidates faster, understanding their skills with greater confidence, and managing the full employment journey without adding operational burden.
Simera’s platform brings together AI-powered recruiting, vetted global talent profiles, candidate matching, onboarding support, global payments, and workforce management into one connected experience. This gives companies a clearer way to hire and manage remote teams across markets such as Latin America, South Africa, and beyond.
At the core of Simera’s platform is a powerful candidate data layer and Simera Professional Key, SPK, which helps companies make more informed hiring decisions, validate skills, and streamline workforce operations globally.
The SPK is part of Simera’s broader data infrastructure for global hiring. Each professional profile can bring together skills, work history, assessments, interview insights, language ability, availability, compensation expectations, and other signals that help companies move beyond the traditional CV.
For employers, this creates a more structured way to compare talent. For candidates, it creates a more complete way to be understood. And for Simera, it strengthens the data flywheel behind AI-powered candidate matching, semantic search, and workforce intelligence.
But technology alone is not enough.
To build the future of global employment, you need operational depth. You need real-world hiring expertise. You need teams that have already solved hard problems for customers.
That is why Talent Sam is such an important part of Simera’s next chapter.
Why Talent Sam
Talent Sam has built something special.
Founded by Milan Levy, Michael Bassin, and Daniel Schwartz, Talent Sam was created with a simple mission: help companies grow and manage exceptional international teams.
Over the past three years, the company has connected exceptional South African talent with companies across North America and Europe while building a model rooted in quality, trust, and ethical employment.
Talent Sam did not simply build a recruiting business.
It built a sophisticated, data-driven talent operating model that combines recruiting, legal employment, HR support, equipment provisioning, IT services, and workforce management under one roof.
That model has helped more than 120 companies scale faster while reducing hiring costs by up to 70%.
The next phase of global hiring will not be won by companies that only have software. It will be won by companies that understand talent, infrastructure, compliance, experience, and execution at the same time.
Talent Sam brings that experience and Simera brings the AI infrastructure, candidate intelligence, validated skills data, semantic matching intelligence, and end-to-end platform vision.
Together, we believe we can build something much larger than either company could build alone.
A message from Simera
Panos Bethanis, Executive Chairman of Simera, said:
“We are excited to announce that Simera has acquired Talent Sam, and thrilled to welcome Milan Levy, Michael Bassin, and Daniel Schwartz to the Simera team.
Milan, Michael, and Daniel are visionary builders with exceptional technical and operational expertise. They have built and scaled multiple businesses, and with Talent Sam they engineered a sophisticated, data-driven talent operating model that connects rigorously vetted South African professionals with global companies.
Their playbook has helped more than 120 companies scale faster while reducing hiring costs by up to 70%.
Together with Simera’s candidate data layer and Simera Professional Key, SPK, their expertise will strengthen our platform by enriching validated skills data, improving semantic matching intelligence, and accelerating our end-to-end global hiring infrastructure.
We are proud to welcome them to Simera and excited for what we will build together as we shape the future of hiring.”
A new chapter
As part of the acquisition, Talent Sam’s leadership team will join Simera in strategic roles to help accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.
Milan Levy will join Simera as Chief Revenue Officer.
Michael Bassin will join as SVP of Sales.
Daniel Schwartz will join as SVP of Growth and Partnerships.
This is not about absorbing a company and moving on.
It is about bringing together people who have already proven they can build, sell, operate, and scale in one of the most important categories in the future of work.
The combined team will focus on expanding access to exceptional international talent while building the infrastructure companies need to hire, contract, onboard, pay, and manage global teams in one place.
From service to platform
Talent Sam proved that companies want access to world-class international talent.
Simera is building the platform that allows that access to happen at scale.
That is the real transformation.
The old model of global hiring was manual, fragmented, and dependent on disconnected providers.
The new model will be intelligent, integrated, and data-driven.
Before, companies had to manage sourcing, vetting, compliance, onboarding, payroll, and support across multiple workflows.
Now, Simera is building toward a single operating system for global employment, powered by AI, validated professional data, and deep operational execution.
This is also where data becomes strategic.
Every hiring process creates signals: what companies are looking for, which skills are in demand, which markets are growing, what compensation ranges are competitive, and where talent supply is strongest.
Simera is building the infrastructure to turn those signals into intelligence.
That intelligence can help companies make better decisions around remote hiring, international recruiting, global payroll, workforce planning, and distributed team growth. It also allows Simera to create deeper market insights across categories such as remote LATAM hiring, South African talent, AI recruiting, global employment, and vetted international professionals.
This acquisition moves us closer to that future.
A message from Talent Sam
Milan Levy, Co-Founder of Talent Sam, said:
“Three years ago, Michael Bassin, Daniel Schwartz, and I set out to build Talent Sam with a simple mission: help companies grow and manage exceptional international teams.
Along the way, we placed hundreds of talented people into great roles and worked with global companies who trusted us to help them scale.
Joining Simera is the natural next chapter for that mission.
Simera is building an end-to-end, AI-driven platform that helps companies find and evaluate the right talent, onboard new team members seamlessly, and run payroll anywhere in the world, all in one place.
At the core is a candidate data layer and Simera Professional Key, SPK, that strengthens hiring decisions, validates skills, and powers a more intelligent global talent infrastructure.
I’m excited to join Simera as Chief Revenue Officer and help take what we started at Talent Sam to a much larger scale.
Thank you to our clients, partners, team, and the entire Simera team for the trust and support. This is an exciting new chapter, and we’re just getting started.”
Daniel Schwartz, Co-Founder of Talent Sam, said:
“The past three years building Talent Sam with Michael Bassin and Milan Levy have been nothing short of amazing.
Together, we helped hundreds of people land great roles and supported incredible companies as they built global teams. I’m hugely proud of what we built and the impact we’ve had.
But I always believed there was an opportunity to go even bigger.
Talent Sam delivered a powerful service. The future of hiring needs technology that can truly transform how companies access, contract, onboard, and manage global talent at scale.
That is why joining Simera is such a natural next step.
At Simera, we are building a platform that gives companies instant access to exceptional global talent and the ability to manage the full employment journey in one place.
While there is a lot of conversation about AI replacing jobs, we see it differently. We use AI to unlock opportunity by connecting great businesses with great people faster and more effectively than ever before.
I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re building, the team behind it, and the opportunity ahead.”
Michael Bassin, Co-Founder of Talent Sam, said:
“This feels like a full-circle moment.
My journey into entrepreneurship began in 2019, and over the years it led to building Talent Sam with Milan Levy and Daniel Schwartz. Together, we focused on helping companies across North America and Europe access exceptional South African talent while building a model rooted in quality, trust, and ethical employment.
After years of working alongside companies as a partner, I’m incredibly excited to step in-house with Simera as SVP of Sales and help scale from within.
I’ve seen firsthand how complex global hiring can be. Simera is building the end-to-end, AI-driven platform to solve those challenges at a much larger scale.
I’m deeply grateful to our team, clients, partners, employees, investors, and everyone who helped make Talent Sam a success. This is a proud milestone, but more importantly, it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”
What comes next
This acquisition is a milestone.
But more importantly, it is a starting point.
Simera and Talent Sam are coming together with a shared belief: global hiring should be easier, smarter, and more human.
Companies should be able to access exceptional talent without unnecessary complexity.
Professionals should be able to access meaningful opportunities regardless of where they live.
And technology should not remove people from the equation. It should create better matches, more trust, and faster paths between great companies and great people.
We are proud to welcome the Talent Sam team to Simera.
And we enter this next chapter with high expectations, deep conviction, and a clear ambition:
to build the AI-powered operating system for global employment.
